Questions about custom pin badges

How much do custom pin badges cost?

A 25 mm soft enamel pin badge is £3.15 each at 50, £1.36 at 250 and £0.82 at 1,000, VAT and the mould included. Hard enamel is £3.25, £1.54 and £0.89. The estimator above prices any size and quantity, and so does the prices page.

Is there a minimum order?

Yes, 50 per design, then in steps of 10. Every enamel pin badge is struck from a mould made for your design, so very small runs cost a lot per badge. If you need only a handful, a printed button badge will be cheaper.

Can you put my logo on a pin badge?

Yes. Upload your logo when you order, in any format. Every colour in enamel needs a metal line around it, so we redraw your logo with those lines and show you the result on your digital proof before anything is made. Gradients and photos cannot be made in enamel.

What is the difference between soft and hard enamel?

Soft enamel sits below the raised metal lines, so you can feel the design, and it costs less. Hard enamel is filled level and polished smooth, so it looks like jewellery and wears better. Both take the same colours, sizes and finishes.

Are pin badges the same as lapel pins?

Yes. Enamel pin badges, lapel pins and lapel badges are the same product: a die-struck metal badge with a pin back. We say pin badges because that is what most UK buyers call them.

Do you make button badges?

No. We make enamel pin badges only. Button badges are a printed paper face under plastic, made on a badge machine, and suit photos and one-off events. If you are not sure which you need, ask us.

How long do custom pin badges take?

Allow time for the proof, 4 to 6 weeks of making from the day you approve it, and time for delivery. Put your date into the checker on How it works and it tells you the day your proof needs approving.

Can I have backing cards?

Printed backing cards with your logo and message, for selling or gifting. Ask us for a quote.
